How it works
eSIM data plans for travelers, explained end to end.
1. Check your device
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and later, most Pixel and Galaxy flagships, and more). It also needs to be carrier-unlocked. Check your phone's Settings — if there's an option to add a cellular/mobile plan via eSIM, you're set.
2. Pick a plan and buy it
Search for your destination in the Store, choose a data amount and validity that fits your trip, and check out. Payment is instant and secure.
3. Install the eSIM
Right after purchase — and any time after in My eSIMs — you'll get a QR code and a manual activation code. Scan the QR in Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM before you travel, ideally while still on WiFi.
4. Turn it on when you land
Your eSIM sits installed but inactive until you turn on its data line — usually as soon as you land, so you're not using data before your trip starts. Most plans start their validity countdown from first connection, not from purchase.
5. Running low? Top up.
If your plan supports it, you can add more data to the same eSIM from My eSIMs — no new QR code, no reinstalling anything.
