Common questions about buying, installing, and using your eSIM.

How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?

Most phones from the last few years do — iPhone XS and later, most Pixel phones since the Pixel 3, and most Galaxy flagships since the S20. On iPhone, check Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM. On Android, check Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked, which is separate from eSIM support.

When should I install my eSIM?

Any time before you travel, ideally while you're still on WiFi — installing needs an internet connection. Most plans don't start counting down validity until you actually turn on the data line, so installing early is safe.

My QR code isn't scanning — what do I do?

Use the manual activation code instead (shown right below the QR code on the same page) — go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually. If that also fails, contact support with your order details.

Can I use my regular number and the eSIM at the same time?

Yes — that's the point. Your physical SIM (or primary eSIM) keeps your number for calls/texts, and Yaysim's eSIM handles data only, as a second line on the same phone.

What happens when my data runs out?

If your plan supports top-ups, you can add more data to the same eSIM from My eSIMs — no new QR code needed. Otherwise, you can buy a fresh plan for the same destination.

Can I get a refund?

See our full Refund Policy — in short, yes for provisioning failures, duplicate charges, or genuine connectivity failures reported before use; not once a plan has been installed and connected, since it's a digital product delivered instantly.
